Note: This deadline is used to determine if there are enough participants to run each class for the session. Those classes which do not have enough participants registered by the above mentioned deadline will not run for the session. It is still possible to register for all classes that have enough participants after this deadline has passed if you cannot do so earlier.

Gentle Hatha Yoga

This class is ideal for beginners and those experienced practitioners who would like to slow down their practice.  Class is taught in the Hatha Yoga style, moving slowly and with purpose and attention to alignment, and holding positions for a number of breaths.  Class incorporates the principles of Ayurveda into the practice, recognizing the elements and qualities most prevalent in each season and selecting practices to help support the balance of these elements within us. Class will include meditation, pranayama (breathing exercises), asana (postures), and savasana (relaxation), and will include postures for building strength, balance, and flexibility, as well as improving vital energy (prana) flow.  Through the experience of breath, gentle exertion, and focus, individuals will practice to enhance their overall sense of peace, balance, and connection.

Slow Flow Vinyasa Yoga (moderate intensity level)
This class is a moderate, but invigorating flow of asana linked with breath.  It is moderately paced, allowing time to settle into the proper alignment for each pose and is structured to promote energy flow, gentle cleansing, and fluidity of movement, helping the body to be balanced in flexibility and strength. Vinyasa, or breath synchronized movement, is a beautiful way to reconnect with your natural rhythm, as well as to cleanse and revitalize your being as a whole. The principles of Ayurveda are incorporated into the practice, recognizing the elements and qualities most prevalent in each season and selecting practices to help support the balance of these elements within us. Participants should be prepared for continuous movement up and down on the mat. Class includes asana (posture), pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation and relaxation and is recommended for the mildly experienced yoga practitioner or the beginner who is body aware and has some familiarity with asana (posture).

Saturday Special Classes (this session only)


This holiday session always proves itself to be a very busy time of year for everyone. While times may be hectic, it is just as important as ever, even more so as a matter of fact, to make time for self-care. These special classes are being offered so that whether you are only able to attend one or two, or the whole series, you may still have the opportunity for some deeply nourishing practice to help support you on your path through the holiday season. Here are the special class offerings: 


11/3: 9-11am Yin Yoga & Yoga Nidra

11/24: 9-11am Yin Yoga & Yoga Nidra (Centered around Gratitude)

12/15: 9-11am  Yin Yoga & Yoga Nidra

12/22: Solstice Flow: Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation) with Surya mantras


We will be engaging in the deeply nourishing practices of Yin Yoga, a very slow and meditative form of asana, followed by the deeply relaxing practice of Yoga Nidra, a deep relaxation/meditation practice guided while resting in savasana (the corpse pose) for many of these classes. The practices are deeply nourishing, and when so much energy is being directed outward in our daily lives, as this season of giving typically elicits, this is just the perfect selection to help restore balance and rejuvenate energy that may be running low. For our Solstice Flow, we will be engaging in the practice of Surya Namaskar (the Sun Salutation) to honor the return of the light both outside and within, as we also encourage the warmth of our inner sun to warm and support our bodies, and illuminate the mind. We will incorporate the traditional Surya mantras with each movement of the flow to help uphold the sacred vibration of the surya energy. 


Saturday Special Costs: $30 per class or sign up for all 4 and pay $25/class. *In order to receive the deal on cost payment must be made in full up front.

While energy exchange is important between entities engaging in any practice, it is equally important that the light of these practices being offered be accessible to those who desire it. If anyone is experiencing financial hardship and needs to receive a reduced rate or utilize a payment plan, please contact Kamala.

In order to ensure that a class has enough participants to run, registration must be complete by the above mentioned deadline. It will still be possible to take part in the session if you must sign up at a later date, however, if there are not enough participants signed up for a particular class by the deadline, then that class will not run for the session. So be sure to register today!
